It was a good opportunity for the students to practice using <em>kisu<\/em> and <em>usu<\/em>. They enjoyed swinging the hammer up and down and striking the rice.<\/p>\n<p>They then mixed the freshly pounded mochi with soy sauce, kinako, anko, and radish for four different flavors. They ate that with some delicious tonjiru.
