Today the 5 year olds went to the elementary school. They observed lessons at all grades. They observed an art class in first and second grade, social studies in third grade, science in fourth grade, science experiment in fifth grade, and Japanese lesson in the sixth grade. Children showed a lot of interest in the all the lessons especially the calligraphy. They learned about ‘bokujou’ the black paint for writing calligraphy. Children usually use water instead of the special paint. We ended our visit at the music room where children interacted with all the musical instruments. They learned the names of the various musical instruments and had lots of fun playing freely with them. Children are excited to perform songs with the musical instruments during academic presentation.
