Today was Setsubun, the Bean Throwing Festival. Students learned about the meaning of Setsubun and sang “Oni No Pants” while wearing goblin masks. Suddenly, a goblin came to our school! In order to scare the goblin away and bring in good luck, the children threw beans at the goblin and said “Goblin, Goblin go away!” Some children were crying and others were strong. Everyone had fun celebrating Setsubun!
