Mamemaki (2-5 years old)
We did “MAMEMAKI” for wakuwaku dokidoki. “MAMEMAKI” is a Japanese traditional culture where goblin shows up in the house to scare children. It is celebrated on February 3rd every year. Today a dressed-up goblin showed up in the various class rooms to scare children. Kids had already put on their face masks and got their bean boxes ready to fight the goblin. While most kids chanted “Goblin, Goblin, go Away, Good Luck Good Luck Come this Way” and threw beans at the globin, some also hid behind teachers and cried. Children shouted for joy as they defeated the goblin.
