Summer school B course

In summer school B course, we talked about foreign cultures. On Monday, we learned about the culture of Ghana. We made Ghana’s traditional smock out of newspaper and decorated it with Origami paper. Finally, everyone danced wearing the smock. On Tuesday, We learned about the culture of Sri Lanka and played Cricket which is popular in Sri Lanka. We divided kids in to 3 groups and everyone got the chance to be in the positions as “a Batter”, “a Pitcher” and “a Catcher”. On Wednesday, we learned about Uganda and played hide and seek, which is popular among Ugandan kids. We prepared places to hide in advance, inside the school and enjoyed playing hide and seek. On Thursday, we learned about the culture of Serbia and made a traditional charm. After making a heart shape out of paper clay, they decorated it with shiny sequins. On Friday, we talked about the culture of the Philippines and made ice candy using tropical fruits. We cut Banana, Pineapple and Orange into small pieces, mixed it with grapes juice and made frozen ice candy. It was a perfect snack for a hot and sunny day. We enjoyed and learned a lot of interesting things about different cultures.
