Swimming lessons
Today, we had a full practice in preparation for next week’s swimming competition. The children listened to what the teachers and coaches said and worked hard during their practice. They all seemed to work together and swam as hard as they could to win.
In the crab class, the children jumped with the coach’s help and floated with their faces up while holding the board. They are starting to float without the coach’s help. They were seen enjoying the lesson with their friends.
In the frog class, the children worked on floating on the board with their faces in, paying close attention to what the coach told them. More children were able to practice alone without the coach’s help, and it seems they gained some confidence.
In the level 14th class, they worked on flutter kicks with their faces in. More children were able to swim about 5 meters without a kickboard. With the coach’s help, they were able to correct how they were told to swim.
In the level13th class, they worked on board crawl and were seen swimming with complete familiarity. At first, some children seemed to sink, but they were able to practice enthusiastically while focusing on strong flutter kicks and arm rotation.
In the level 12th and 11th classes, they practiced breathing for crawl. While focusing on swimming straight, the students checked the timing of their breaths with the instructor. They are starting to swim smoothly.
In the 8th grade class, they practiced back kicks and swimming while swinging their arms. They were able to swing their arms while being conscious of not sinking their bodies. We are looking forward to the swimming competition next week!
