Swimming Lessons
In the Crab class, children practiced underwater walking and face-down swimming. The two-year-olds happily walked underwater with helpers attached to their arms. The older children were able to do the face-down swimming technique with encouragement from their coaches.
In the Frog class, children became accustomed to face-down swimming, and many were able to hold their breath for 10 seconds. During underwater walking, children extended their arms out to the sides and focused on swimming without stopping until the finish line.
In the 14th class, children practiced floating and flutter kicks on their own. They learned to swim by focusing on kicking the platform firmly to stay afloat. With the coach’s assistance, children were able to swim by keeping their bodies straight and focusing on creating powerful flutter kicks.
In the 13th and 12th grade classes, children practiced hand movements and side breathing. During hand movements, children focused on swinging their arms widely to propel themselves forward. In the side breathing exercise, students practiced swimming while keeping their heads turned firmly to the side.
In the Grade 9 class, students practiced backstroke. They practiced raising their arms firmly up and rotating them, and in the attention kick, they practiced floating while keeping their bodies straight.
