Swimming Lessons
In the Crab class, the students jumped from the platform with ease. They performed a 10-second face-in-the-water swim practice, and during the floatation exercise, they were able to float with their bodies fully extended.
In the Frog class, students practiced face-in-the-water swim using a kickboard. They extended their arms and legs fully and focused on following the coach’s instructions to stay afloat.
In the 14th class, students practiced kicking with a strong kick without bending their knees. For the face-in-the-water swim, they focused on keeping their heads firmly in the water to create powerful flutter kicks.
In the 13th class, students practiced kicking with their heads firmly in the water to create powerful flutter kicks. By focusing on flutter kicks without bending their knees, they were able to swim faster.
In the 12th class, students repeatedly practiced swimming with large arm swings. They were able to swing their arms in time with the coach’s calls of “1, 2, 3” and swim.
In the 11th class, students practiced turning their faces to the side to take a breath. They swam while being conscious of not sinking their body when taking a breath.
The Grade 9 class swam 25 meters using the crawl. When practicing backstroke, the student was able to swim while being conscious of rotating the arms.
