Swimming Lessons
In the “Crab Class,” children have improved their underwater walking skills, they are now able to do it without the coach’s assistance. They also attempted submerging underwater with the coach, even though they felt a bit nervous at first. Regarding putting their faces in the water, more children are now able to hold that position for 10 seconds with the coach’s encouragement.
In the “Frog Class,” students practiced floating positions using kickboards. When floating with their faces submerged, they focused on keeping their heads fully underwater and their knees straight.
In the “Level 14 Class,” students practiced the basics of the flutter kick while sitting on the pool edge. Encouraged by the coach, they worked on keeping their knees straight during the kicking drills. When using kickboards to practice flutter kicking, they focused on maintaining straight knees and executing powerful kicks.
In the combined “Level 14 & 13 Class,” students practiced the single-arm rotation drill, focusing on lifting the arm high and pulling the water effectively. For floating drills, they worked enthusiastically on keeping their heads submerged and maintaining a straight body position.
In the “Level 11 Class,” students practiced side-breathing and the front crawl stroke. They focused on turning their heads fully to the side to breathe. For the front crawl, they concentrated on proper breathing techniques and kicking powerfully.
In the “Level 9 Class,” students practiced the front crawl and backstroke kicking. During the backstroke kicking drills, they focused on kicking powerfully to move forward in a straight line.
