We performed the play Kakiyamabushi in the 6th grade Japanese class. After understanding the traditions and content of Kyogen, the children performed Kyogen themselves. We believe that the children were able to understand the unique interaction and fun of Kyogen by actually performing it. We hope that they will develop an interest not only in Kyogen but also in other classical performing arts.
