The fifth graders learnt about tuna fishing methods during social studies time. The children were amazed to see how large tuna were quickly caught one after the other using the one-line fishing method. The children, who eat bonito flakes and bonito tataki at home, were grateful for the efforts and ingenuity of the fishermen, and were interested in how the tuna delivered to the fishing port then makes its way to their dinner tables.
