Tanabata came a little early this year to AKS when we held our annual event celebrating this traditional occasion. Naturally, our highly motivated students presided over the event entirely in English! The 5^th and 6^th graders did an excellent job running the proceedings. Students wrote their wishes in English and Japanese on tanzaku which they then used to decorate bamboo. The tanabata wish of all of us here at AKS, teachers and staff, is that students can continue working together to improve their relationships, learning and school life.
