Swimming Lessons (2-5 years old)
After the warm up exercise together, children were grouped into their various swimming levels.
The crab class did crab and crocodile walks, jumps and face dips to get use to the water. They also practiced floating using the board.
Frog class did running and walking under the water and face dip to get use to the water. They then practiced floating with and without board.
Level 14 class did face in and out of the water kicks with and without board.
The level 13 classes did face kicks, one-hand rotation with board, and face crawl with board.
The level 12B class practiced board kicks, pre-breathing, side breathing and one-handed crawl.
The level 12-10 classes did 50M swimming, and practiced pre-breathing, and side breathing. They also practiced one-handed crawl with and without board.
Level 9 class swam 50M, and practiced one-handed raised kicks and glide kicks.
Level 4 class swam 50 M to get use to the water. She practiced face in and up with board, one-hand rotation with board, and one-hand butterfly.
After the regular lesson children had the opportunity to play in the water which also helps them to get use to the water. Children did great today and had lots of fun as well.
